March Nature Walk & Talk

Change is in the air!
Days are getting longer, temperatures are rising, and Nature is responding! Come and enjoy a leisurely guided walk with Master Naturalist Bill Cheeseman through the beautiful woods of Summerseat. We’ll look for the first flowers of the new year known as Spring Ephemerals, and we’ll take note of bulging buds on tree branches and decide if they will become leaves, flowers or new branches. Along the way we’ll listen and look for birds as their thoughts and behavior start to change from survival to romance.
This natural surface trail is generally dry and fairly smooth with very little elevation change. Discussion along our “Walk & Talk” is free form, and questions about our local plants and animals are welcome.
We will start at the parking area at 0900 and complete the loop walk at about 1100.
Hope you can join us!
