May Nature Walk & Talk

Saturday, May 10th 9am-11am

We’ve all heard “April showers bring May Flowers”. Did you know that our deciduous trees have flowers?

Join Master Naturalist Bill Cheeseman on a “Nature Walk & Talk” through the beautiful wooded acres of Summerseat Farm in search of flowering trees and shrubs. Along the way we’ll talk about the important role flowers play in the reproductive strategies of the vast majority of plants. We’ll also look at some plants that don’t develop flowers. Additionally, we’ll look and listen for Critters and try to identify those we discover or see signs of their presence.

This normally dry trail is about 1.5 miles long, has minimal elevation change, and is largely free of exposed roots.

We’ll meet at the parking area and start walking about 9:00 Saturday morning with the plan of returning to the parking area at about 11:00.

Hope you can join us
