Saturday, April 5th

Our day starts off with a nature walk and continues with Wy’s Words Sensory day. We hope you will join us for one or both events.
Nature Walk & Talk (9am-11am)
Spring is officially here! After a particularly cold Winter, Nature seems to be a bit sluggish in waking up this year. That makes the beginning of April the perfect time to explore the seeming re-birth of the natural world! New flowers blooming, new leaves opening in varying shades of green, birds singing and building nests, and the list goes on!
Join Master Naturalist Bill Cheeseman on a leisurely “Walk & Talk” through the beautiful woods of Summerseat. The walk will begin near the front gate at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 11:00 a.m. The natural surface pathway has minimal elevation change, remains mostly dry underfoot, and with the exception of one short section (maybe 20 feet long) of exposed roots, is easily managed by those with mobility challenges or pushing a stroller. The total distance is 1.5 miles with open discussion along the way, and questions encouraged. As always, the Walk & Talk is child friendly.
Please feel free to contact Bill Cheeseman with any questions at paxbillc@md.metrocast.net or by phone at 240-434-3460.
Wy’s Words Sensory Day (11am-2pm)
As part of our Autism Awareness Month celebration we will be hosting a few events to promote acceptance and inclusion within our community.
To kick it off, We are so excited to announce the 2nd Annual Sensory Day! Please join us on April 5th at Summerseat Farm, Inc. for a Family Friendly Play Day. We will have a variety of activities including a moon bounce, ball pit, face painting, food trucks, vendors and more!
